#311: Brands or Bets?

Right.

So, I've been thinking about the delta between brand and utility.

When you're starting out, you really wanna place a bunch of small bets to see what clicks.

Once you got that bit down pat, you can focus on the brand and stuff.

Now, I'm not waifu profitable yet. I'm getting there, but I've been really hung up on the brand.

That's because of my conditioning - my past jobs, consulting gigs and agency all focused on the brand.

Anyways, my current line of thinking is that I should definitely stick to the brand, but make a bunch of small bets within it.

That looks like me still doing the same thing - helping founders get more clients, but try to do that in a variety of ways - apps, courses, checklists etc.

Do you think this approach is a cop out?
