M*rketing for Devs

316: Do this now

Published about 2 months ago • 1 min read

Hey Reader!

If you wanna boost your website's conversions, do this:

  1. Go to your site.
  2. Make a list of all the places you're talking about yourself.
  3. Replace those with you talking about your Hero, their Monsters and their Paradise. The only place I want you to talk about you is in your about page and the features page. Even there, link it to benefits your customer cares about.

Good luck for the weekend.

Talk on Monday.

With love from Bengaluru, this is Arvindh saying over and out.

This was their situation: Don’t know...

Hey Reader! I just got off a coaching call with a client where they had a bit of a moral dilemma: Can they share the things I teach them to their own clients? Here's the transcript of what I told them, edited for clarity & effect: Okay, so if you do encounter this situation, I'm serious, like, do what's best for the client, right? Ira Glass, a very, very famous producer, broadcast, radio person in the US - they had a quote, which I'm going to paraphrase here: When you're getting into...
